The Medical Qigong Certification Program starts with the Beginning/Ongoing Qigong 8-week comprehensive class series. Beginning/Ongoing Qigong consists of two 8-week sections, both of which must be completed before a student can move on in the Medical Qigong Certification Program.
The Intermediate Qigong class is the second level which of practices designed for deeper self-healing and skill development that is a transitional step for those interested in developing their Qi toward clinic application.
This third level consists of four terms that mainly utilize the textbook series Chinese Energetic Medicine along with over three decades of direct experience of clinical application. “Practicing Tai Chi may help to improve balance and stability in older people and in those with Parkinson’s disease, reduce back pain and pain from knee osteoarthritis, and improve quality of life in people with heart disease, cancer, and other chronic illnesses. Tai Chi and Qi gong may ease fibromyalgia pain and promote general quality of life. Qi gong may reduce chronic neck pain, but study results are mixed. Tai Chi also may improve reasoning ability in older people.”
“Tai Chi is better than brisk walking in reducing several cardiovascular disease risk factors and improving psychosocial well-being, and can be recommended as a viable exercise for building a healthy life free of cardiovascular disease.”
