He has designed and has been a featured instructor in several Qigong and Tai Chi video and book publications and works. He has served as a director board member of the National Qigong Association and has taught for several universities, institutes, hospitals and clinics.
“I have personally and privately taught Arnold for over 20 years. He excels in both Medical Qigong (he graduated early from the original 7 year Masters of Medical Qigong course), and went with me several times to China (for several months) to study. He also graduated from the same TCM university in Beijing as I, and is licensed as a Doctor of Medical Qigong.
In the Martial Arts, he studied Shaolin for several years before training with me (a good base for Chinese Wu Dang training). He has been one of my most trusted senior disciples for many years and was promoted to Shifu (master instructor) in 3 systems of Wu Dang Gong Fu: Baguazhang, Yang Family Taijiquan, and Chen Family Taijiquan. The systems that I teach all include forms training, combat, 2-man fighting sets, weapons, traumatology, herbology, massage, nei gong, qi gong, and shen gong training.”
Professor Arnold E. Tayam,
Director and Founder, The Longevity Center
We designed this class for the absolute beginner, so no previous knowledge or experience are necessary. You will need a place to practice your routine, wherever you can raise your arms over your head and extend them to the sides without hitting anything. Wear any loose fitting clothing you are comfortable in. That’s all you need.
This class is designed to take place over 8 days, but the pace is entirely up to you. You could spend a week on 1 Day’s practice before moving on to the next Day’s content. Or you could do the entire class in 2 hours. We feel that the best option is taking your time and making sure you’re comfortable with a Day’s content before moving on.
While the class is completely self-paced, it’s organized into “Days” with each Day teaching you one practice in your final routine. So if you decide to do the class 1 “Day” at a time over 8 days, plan on spending about 10 minutes per day, with the final day taking around 25 minutes to complete. Of course, it may take you longer to complete a Day’s lessons, or it may take you less than 10 minutes to do so. That’s the beauty of a self-paced class.
Absolutely! You can do everything either standing up or sitting down. No matter your age or physical ability, Awakening Qi 8-Day Challenge can help you increase your energy, relieve stress, and create balance in your life.
Whether you’re looking to improve your physical health, reduce stress and anxiety, or deepen your spiritual practice, the Awakening Qi 8-Day Challenge is a powerful first step on your journey.
